Jumairy presents “Qumeirah,” a Durational Performance and Sound Installation

In this new project, Jumairy embarks on a journey that reimagines the bond between humans, water, and the moon, a cosmic body that has, for eons, inspired poets, guided travelers, and shaped lives throughout history.

Starting from the full moon during the holy month of Ramadan, this performative project unfolds in Downtown Dubai, where Jumairy transports fragments of the moon along a crescent-shaped route.

Over time, the collected pieces come together, forming a lunar structure, its visible cracks serving as reminders of imperfection, effort, and transformation.
