must i be useful? thoughts as objects sure ok

must i be useful is a message to all the objects that are used, abused, interacted with, and barely given a second thought throughout our daily lives. This is their chance to take a break from being only celebrated for their productivity, and have a chance to be utterly useless. In this sculptural reimagining, their form eclipses their function, because they simply do not have to be for the time being. In a time where we are only worth our productivity, wouldn’t it be nice to be completely un-useful? Not innovated at all, more like the opposite of innovation, and simply to spark curiosity and maybe, just maybe, some joy.
