In the space between presence and absence, memory and the unknown, a silent force moves—guiding, shifting, and unveiling what lies beyond the visible.

Rosemary Chamoun’s practice is an exploration of the mystery of existence, revealing vulnerability as a powerful state—one that compels us to question physical reality and seek guidance from forces beyond the tangible world. In Unbodied, her figures drift through vast, atmospheric spaces, caught between the physical and the unseen, the self and the infinite. Deep blues and vivid reds pulse with emotional intensity, filling distant backgrounds. Within the void, floating heads emerge as vessels of consciousness, embodying longing, uncertainty, and introspection—states that awaken self-awareness and transformation.

Chamoun’s sculptures extend this meditation into three-dimensional space—weightless yet grounded. Connected to their bases by magnets, they hover at the edge of gravity and levitation. This delicate balance between detachment and attraction mirrors the unseen forces that shape our existence. Through their gaze, Chamoun captures a sense of melancholic inquiry, evoking both wonder and quiet introspection. As they absorb and reflect light, they become meditations on the fleeting nature of presence itself.

At its core, Unbodied is an invitation to embrace uncertainty, detach from fixed forms, and step into the magic of the unknown. By challenging perceptions of the physical environment, these works create a space for contemplation—where the boundaries between self and universe blur, and the viewer is reminded that freedom begins where certainty ends, making space for possibilities greater than we can imagine.
