A group exhibition presenting UAE-based independent artists

Dubai, UAE, 10 April 2026

Foundry is pleased to announce SUPERMARKET, a group exhibition featuring artists based in the UAE, conceived as a platform to support artists who are not represented by galleries.

Bringing together a wide range of voices, approaches, and media, the exhibition opens a new space of exchange between artists, audiences, and collectors.
With SUPERMARKET, Foundry presents, for the first time, a selling exhibition structured around accessibility, discovery, and dialogue. The project seeks to encourage a broader public to engage with contemporary art with greater confidence and curiosity, while offering artists an opportunity to present their work in a context that is both visible and commercially supportive.
The title SUPERMARKET deliberately borrows from the language of retail, collapsing the distance between artwork and commodity and inviting reflection on how culture is packaged, displayed, circulated, and consumed today. Rather than reducing art to merchandise, the exhibition uses this tension critically, asking what it means to “shop” for art at a moment when value is shaped not only by artistic quality, but also by visibility, narrative, and systems of legitimacy.
At a time when the contemporary art ecosystem is marked by growing imbalance, accelerated circulation, and shifting definitions of value, SUPERMARKET proposes a more direct and open framework. It creates a setting in which artworks can be discovered outside conventional market structures, while foregrounding the practices of artists who are building their presence independently.
By bringing together a selection of works at an accessible price point, the exhibition also aims to nurture a new generation of collectors, making the experience of acquiring art more approachable without compromising curatorial intention or critical depth.
The exhibition will also be accompanied by a programme of talks and guided tours in collaboration with Nadine Khoury, further extending the project’s ambition to create dialogue around artistic value, collecting, visibility, and the role of exhibitions as public platforms.
The full list of participating artists will be announced in the coming days.
On the same evening, Foundry will also present two solo exhibitions: The Continuous Terrain by Solimar Miller, an independent artist based in the UAE, featuring new works on canvas, and The Red Dot by Eva Losada, an independent artist based in Spain, featuring a series of photographs.
Venue: Foundry, Downtown Dubai
Opening Reception: 6,30PM
